For nearly two decades I have been building relationships - architecting interactions and experiences that bridge the gap between people, ecology, design, and business. With a dual Master’s Degree in Applied Ecology and Design, I am often found hiking a riparian zone, presenting on stage, or looking under a microscope for inspiration. I love what I do.
I wake up excited to get to work. I think with my hands. I am insatiably curious. I am constantly learning. I have had the great fortune of collaborating with a cadre of gifted and inspiring colleagues. I am a systems thinker. I like to invent and play games. I embrace failure and alternative perspectives. I listen with my eyes. I am excited by new media.
My projects tend toward the biophilic and the biomimetic: a deliberate attempt to translate an understanding of the inherent human affinity to affiliate with natural systems and processes into the built environment, all the while looking to nature’s genius for design solutions. To this end, I have consulted with governments, corporations, and organizations such as The United Nations Environment Programme, IDEO, The California Academy of Sciences, The Natural World Museum, Mountain Hardwear, The Epic Arts Foundation, The Power of Hope, Far & Wide Travel, Levi’s Strauss, The Becktell Group, The University of California at Berkeley, The University of Southern California, Yosemite National Park, The Oakland Museum of California, and the Puerto Vallarta Film Festival.
Clients have remarked that I am contagiously enthusiastic, resourceful, inspiringly imaginative, refreshingly genuine, and an effective executor of big ideas. Thanks, clients.
