All Of Me

We performed with Y’s guitar friends at a restaurant that we rented for the day.
We did All Of Me. Y’s new (old) guitar is being repaired, so he used his instructors Les Paul.

　２月２１日、焼酎バー輪丘（りんく）で、ギター仲間の集まりがありました。
　例の買ったばかりの（３０年ものの）ES335は、ちょっと音がビビるところがあるので、現在入院中。
　ほとんどフレットがすり減っていて、前の人はフレット調整で何回も削ったらしく、もうフレットがあるのかないのか分からない状態だった。店に持って行くと、売った店にも関わらず、フレットレスワンダーといわれた。
　なんとフレット総入れ替えに指板矯正という、椎間板ヘルニア手術に近い手術を施されて、若返ってくる予定。（ああ、僕の腰痛も治ったらいいのに）
　というわけで、ギターの先生のレスポールカスタムを借りてやりました。
　やった曲は、All Of Meという曲です。ギターソロの部分は考えていなかったので、アドリブやろうにも、ベースとコードやるので精一杯でした。ベースやコードを弾きながら、アドリブができるようになりたい。
　というわけで、一夜漬けでやったAll Of Me でした。

Okinawa #2

沖縄旅行の第2弾のビデオです。
Okinawa Trip (part two)

３日目は、ホテル近くのビオスの丘でまったり（ちょっと小雨が降っていましたが・・・）した後、琉球村で三線を習う。A&Wというアメリカチックなファミレスに、妻がどうしても行きたいというので、行ったが、薬のような味のルートビアを飲んで、オエッとなる。

Day 3...Visited the outdoor botanical garden Bios no Oka in the morning. Afterwards we went to Ryukyu Village, where Yoshimi got a lesson on the Sanshin (traditional Okinawan stringed instrument). We sought out an A&W before heading back to the hotel. Amy relished her root beer float, while Yoshimi tried to keep from gagging.

４日目は、世界遺産の斎場御獄（せいふぁーうたき）に立ち寄った後、再び国際通りに行き、市場へ。買った魚一匹丸ごと、その場で料理をしてくれる。舌鼓。

Day 4...Went to the World Heritage site Seifa-utaki, and then back to Kokusai Street and the market for some shopping and lunch. We bought a fresh fish at the market, and they cooked it up for us right there...delicious.

Okinawa #1

沖縄へ行ってきました。We went to Okinawa!!
初日は、那覇空港から、国際通り、公設市場、首里城へ。
二日目は、現地に住む友人とあい、美ら海水族館、周辺をドライブ、そして、夜はオリオンビールやヤギ刺しなど地元の食材を堪能しました。
ビデオは、まずは最初の二日分を作成しました。残りは後日公開！！

As a last (?) treat to ourselves, we took a 4-day trip down to Okinawa. It was considerably warmer than Nagoya, though we were not able to enjoy the ocean and beaches that Okinawa is famous for. (Next time...)

The video above is of our first two days. On day one we visited Kokusai Street, Kosetsu Market and Shuri Castle. We spent day two with Yoshimi’s friend and went to the Churaumi Aquarium and International Orchid Show. In the evening he took us took a very local restaurant, where we (meaning Yoshimi) tried raw goat, a delicacy we were told.

Week 21 Ultrasound

なかなか、いい顔してんなぁ。
What a cutie!! (Do we qualify for bragging rights at this stage?)

ドクターが、トムクルーズの話をしている時に、赤ちゃんが口をあけているのが分かります。
これは、あくびをしているのだろうか。
お母さんが笑うと、お腹の赤ちゃんも笑うって聞いた事あるけど、トムクルーズの話に笑ってるんだろうか。
During the exam, the doctor was relating a funny story to us about Tom Cruise. Right at that time, you can see the baby give a big yawn. Or is it a laugh?? Hard to say... I heard somewhere that when Mom laughs, the baby laughs too.
