Deborah Anna Luepnitz, Ph.D. is based in Philadelphia where  she is on the clinical faculty of the Dept of Psychiatry at the U. of Penn School of Medicine. She is the author of The Family Interpreted: Psychoanalysis, Feminism, & Family Therapy (Basic Books, l988) and of Schopenhauer’s Porcupines: Intimacy and its Dilemmas  (Basic/Perseus, 2002). Dr. Luepnitz is a  WTCI faculty member, and maintains a private practice of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy in Philadelphia.  She has taught and lectured widely, including at the United Nations Conference On Women in Beijing in l995. Four years ago she launched  IFA  (Insight For All) which connects formerly homeless adults with analysts in the Philadelphia community willing to work pro bono. This project gave rise to the WTCI program "Connect and Change."
