    <title>Presentation box</title>
    <link>http://web.me.com/wordsifter/Woodworkingforlove/Presentation_Desk_Box.html</link>
<description>I was asked to make a box as a retirement gift for a senior minister. I decided to reflect the Christian idea of Trinity - three elements that form a unity but remain distinctive, symbolising unity in diversity. This was achieved in two ways: a combination of three timbers from different cultures, and the use of three compartments in the box.
The timbers are: Bubinga from Africa for the carcase, Macassar Ebony from Indonesia from the lift-out tray, and Ash from Europe for the linings and compartment dividers. The box is trimmed in burgundy pig-suede.
