It works very well indeed, and allows me to make micro-fine adjustments to the cut. Because it’s so easy, it means I can fine-tune the cut on scrap timber by trial and error, making hair’s-breadth adjustments to get it spot on. Having said that, the world’s moved on since I did this and there is now an abundance of routers designed to be inverted under a table with fine-adjusters worked from above - which makes the outlay on both a router and a lift system unjustifiable.
