Experience involved an eight week practicum, taking on full responsibilities of a teacher in Science 10, Math 11 Applications and Biology 11.

short practicum (educ 401/402) Walnut grove secondary, oct 2008 - dec 2009 Throughout the duration of my short practicum I spent the initial week observing a wide range of classrooms and familiarizing myself with the school culture. The remainder of the time was spent involving myself directly in teaching, either in collaboration with my school associate or independent of staff altogether.

Duties included one-on-one assistance with identified students, ranging from ADHD to autism as well as oversight of the learning assistance room at Pacific Academy.

Twice a week I spent two hours observing, assisting the teacher and familiarizing myself with the grade 7 and 8 curriculum in various subjects. This position gave me a great opportunity to not only work with students of a different age but also work with an elementary curriculum.
