Wedding Extravaganza

It seems we are in a streak of weddings to attend. It started with Lauren & Steve in September. It was awesome dancing with all of Tony’s cousins, brothers, and Tony too! We were proud parents watching Emma & Max walk down the aisle. Emma was a beautiful little flowergirl and Max was a strikingly handsome ringbearer - I may be biased though! The reception was in a beautiful location though for the first hour I worriedly chased the kids around the picturesque pond. I was thankful for my mom picking up the kids after dinner so we could enjoy ourselves more later in the evening and even stay at the hotel for the night sans kids. We then got in trouble with the hotel for jumping the fence and swimming in the pool again with Tony’s fun family. It was a good time!!
Then yesterday we celebrated Rick & Megan’s wedding downtown Chicago. Rick is a grade school friend of Tony’s and many in our neighborhood are in that group too, so we got to drink and dance with friends. AND dance did we! Tony was DANGEROUS on the dance floor! I was twirled, thrown, and spun around till my heart pounded and I feared a heart attack! At least my torn dress (due to my heels catching the hem 3 times) were worth it as many people told Tony and I we won the best dance trophy. I’m not sure the trophy is in the mail, but WOW was that band AMAZING!!! They rocked that party at the Sofitel hotel. And today I had to soak in a epson salt bath, drink tons of water, eat bananas, rub my knees, and ice them from dancing so hard. Guess my joints can’t handle that much.
The next wedding is Don & Valerie’s the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Don is a D&D friend of Tony’s back from his high school days. When I met Tony in college, Don was his roommate that fall. Then in 2000 we all had the pleasure of working together at DK. And I’ve gotten to know Valerie who introduced me to the GirlyMan band. We look forward to another good party!
Then we have Katie & Tyler’s in March, Owen’s in April, and Brittany & Jared’s next October. So I guess there a lots of happy unions which makes me happy!

THANK GOD Tony got a job in September so we can attend and not forgo our groceries! :)

Upcoming Neuve de Mayo Party!

We are bringing back our Cinco de Mayo party this year!! Of course it’s not actually on Cinco de Mayo but instead on Saturday May 9th.
We will have margaritas, Mexican beers, and homemade Mexican food. So come on over and join the Fiesta!!
