Click here to read the corresponding blog post for more info. 2002 block, stripped down, cleaned up, and Magnafluxed. Magnafluxing is a process performed to identify cracks in metal surfaces. Metallic powder (usually colored, and in this case yellow) is applied to the surface to be checked. A magnetic tool is used to draw the powder from one are to another. The powder will settle in cracks and stay there. The object being texted (Magnafluxed) is often painted a contrasting color (in this case, blue) to make any cracks easy to spot. If you are familiar with the MBSP and that it only connects to the 1, 2, 4, and 5 (skips #3) bearing, the fact that there are no bosses for bolts on the center (#3) cap. The guys at Crank-Scrapers.com (Ken Johnson) will modify a MBSP so it could bolt to all of the main caps.
