    <title>Saturday Update</title>

<description>Less than a week to go!

BLOG POST HERE</description>

<title>Here is the return fuel line. Notice that it is mated right to the Miata’s hard line with a compression AN-type fitting. This is one of my biggest concerns about the first start and reliabilty on the track. I’m not looking forward to any fuel leaks! These are 5/16” hard line adapters to -6AN fittings, made by Earl’s.
EDIT - These worked GREAT! No problems on the dyno or at the track!</title>

<title>This sandwich plate adapter is tapped to allow the installation of up to 3 oil sensors. I’ll be running the stock oil pressure, aftermarket oil pressure, and aftermarket oil temperature. This adapter is tapped with BSP threads, to match the Miata’s stock sensors. Aftermarket sensors typically come with 1/8” NPT sensors, which require an adapter to properly install. Note the Autometer pressure sensor in the block, and it’s use of a BSP/NPT adaptor. Next up is the oil cooler sandwich plate, which will go on the threaded pipe before the oil filter gets screwed on.</title>

<title>Here’s the oil filter sandwich plate with -10AN Aeroquip Startlite lines. The sandwich plate has 1/2” NPT ports, so (black) 1/2”NPT to -10AN adapters were used.
Some oil cooler sandwich plate adapters have internal thermostats that do not allow the oil to flow to the cooler until it reaches about 180°F. This one does not. Coolant comes up to temperature before oil does, and so I’d like to use the coolant to preheat the oil. It can get chilly here in the northeast!</title>

<title>I like the Aeroquip Startlite lines a lot. Instead of stainless braid protecting the outside, these lines are covered in a durable Nomex/kevlar cloth. The result is just as durable as stainless, but lighter and easier to assemble and work with. This type of hose is more expensive though.</title>

<title>Here’s just a quick shot of the throttle linkage and stock throttle cable installed. The TWM throttles usually clock the linkage in the opposite direction, which means that the throttle cable would have come from around the front of the engine, and that would have required a custom throttle cable. i took some measurements and figured that the stock cable could be made to work if the linkage was reversed. TWM reversed the linkage at my request when they built the kit.
Thanks guys, it works!</title>

<title>There is a lot going on under the intake manifold, but believe it or not, it is all relatively organized and easy to work with. MUCH easier than the stock setup with TONS more room!</title>
