    <title>Maruha Slide Cam Pully</title>

<description>These are the adjustable cam gears, or as Maruha calls them “Slide Cam Pullys”. Whatever you call them, they are very well crafted, light weight, and seem pretty solid.

Way more info about the cam gears and degreeing cams can be found in this blog post.

<title>The adjustable cam gears will allow us to adjust cam timing, which will allow us to get the most out of the cams and move the power band around a bit.

<title>The gear is actually two pieces. The silver face and the black gear. When loosened, the three bolts are free to rotate in their slotted holes. The inside (silver part) rotates independent of the gear (black part). At the lower left side of the gear are the measurement lines, which is used to determine how the gear is set. The little white mark on the ring next to the measurement lines is the indicator mark. As it sits now, the gear appears to be at about 2° advance. </title>

<title>Unlike other cam gears, the Maruha gears have 3 beefy bolts (and not 6 smaller bolts). It can be relatively easy to snap an adjusting bolt on some gears, as the bolts are very small and require very little torque. These cam gear bolts screw right into the gear (which has threaded holes machined into them). Other gears use bolts with nuts and tiny spring washers on the other side, which can be a pain to deal with on the dyno.</title>
