What the tuck?

I’ve seen pictures of engine bays with the wired “tucked”, which basically means that all of the wires, fuse boxes, and emissions controls have been relocated or removed entirely.  I like the clean look of it, but i can’t imagine it would be ideal for a track/race specific car.  That said, there are an amazing amount of unnecessary wires under the hood of a Miata.  More importantly, the wires are not all that neat.

Since the throttle bodies and air box will take up a yet unknown amount of space, and I expect that quite a bit will be neaded, I decided to clean up the wires under the hood.  All of the classes I run with also allow the complete emission controls to be removed, and while I won’t go that far, I will tidy things up a bit.

I am also going to bring in a few new sensors to feed the new gauges and data aquisition system.  Before I run the new lines, I’d like to clean up the existing ones.
