Game 1 vs. Rich East

On Saturday March 21st, 2009 the Varsity and Sophomore Baseball teams played the Rockets from Rich East High School. The program split with the Varsity dropping a tough loss 7-4 and the Sophomores walked away with a win 12-2. Good luck to both teams in the weeks to come and also good luck to the Freshman squad who play their first game against Rich South on Thursday the 26th of March.

Baseball try out information....

Baseball tryouts start on Monday, March 2nd for the varsity and then Tuesday. March 3rd for both the freshman and sophomore teams.
For all try-outs student athletes will need to come prepared with:
• A glove
• Appropriate apparel (cap, baseball pants or similar full legged athletic gear, and a shirt long and/or short sleeved (possibly enough to go outside if the weather permits))
• An athletic shoe (either cleats for outside or a training shoe for inside)
• A bat (if they own one)
• All appropriate forms
o For all student athletes (except freshman) A sports physical….click here for the form
o A signed student athlete contract (all)
o A CHSD 218 waiver (all)
• All student /athletes are asked to be on time for all try-out activities.

Thanks to all who visit the site. There will be changes to the site soon. We will incorporate an easier to use direction system and daily game information and updates (for at least the varsity baseball team). There has also been an addition of a links page (check it out). We hope you enjoy the additions and changes and thanks again for visiting.

Reminders for the upcoming season:
1. We have weights Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until the season starts (First day of varsity try-outs is the 2nd of March at 6:00 A.M.)
2. You need to have a physical to try out and play baseball.
3. You need to dress appropriately for tryouts
a. You need to be able to participate inside and outside
b. You need sweets NOT JEANS
4. You need a glove and a bat (if you own one)
5. All forms must be turned in prior to trying out.

The Eisenhower Baseball Family would like to invite all of friends, family members, and fans to come our to first annual Bowling Party. It will be at Burr Oak Bowl (127th and 1 block east of Kedzie, across the street from DDE) on the 12th of April from 8:30 until you are ready to leave. The cost for this event is $25 per person.
