Today we woke early and took the 3 1/2 hour Interislander Ferry from North Island to South Island. We then jumped a water taxi for another 3 hours through the Queen Chartlotte Sound to the remote Furneaux Bay. There we met Mark & Mel from England, who are traveling for a year around the world. Tomorrow we’ll hike part of the Queen Chartlotte Track. No outside communication for a few days.
