One month apart the children at the Pyongan Provinces received the second shot of the Hepatitis B vaccination from November 19 until 21. In interviews with the headmasters and primary health staff in the schools at Hyangsan, Pakchon and Doksam the work of the vaccination teams were reviewed. Around 1% of the children were absent due to sickness. The primary health staff followed them up at their homes and vaccinated them later on. The parents were very much supportive to the campaign. We could also observe that the vaccine for the third and last round was kept well in refrigerators powered by solar energy at the county medical stores.
