ANGLICAN AWAKENING

As Jan Brochu said afterwards, "What a wonderful weekend!  God is good -- all the time."

The Anglican Awakening Nov. 13-15 in Amesbury at the All Saints Anglican Church and Ministry Center was an excellent experience.  It was a Feast for the eyes, the ears, the heart, mind and spirit.  Plan on attending next year's New England Anglican District gathering.  There were at least 20 of the original Timothy group in attendance to learn from the outstanding nationally known teachers, to be inspired and discipled by Archbishop Nzimbi, Bishop Bob Duncan, Bishop Amos of Nigeria, Bishop Thad Barnum, Bishop Bill Atwood and our own Bishop Bill Murdoch, as well as Fr. William Beasley, Canon Doc Loomis, Fr. Tom Herrick and Canon Susan Skillen.

The infusion of ideas on church planting, lay evangelism, intercessory prayer and spiritual formation from our African friends in Christ, to our North American ways of ecclesiastical thinking was profound.  We all came away with a realization of what a bold and invigorating new movement  we are engaged in --  two little church plants here in Vermont genetically linked to biblically faithful Anglican congregations large and small throughout the United States and Canada and the world.

A truly energizing and inspiring experience!
