Vermont and New Hampshire Anglicans
November, 2007
Dear Friend of the Anglican Communion:
On Saturday, December 1, 2007 Timothy Home Fellowship, a group of Vermont and New Hampshire Anglicans is sponsoring and hosting a teach-in called “Anglican Essentials”, led by an outstanding teacher, The Rev. Michael J. McKinnon.
It will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Quechee Community Church located at 1095 Main St. Quechee, Vermont, 05059. (Just off Exit 1 from I-89. West on Rt. 4, left on Main St.)
Fr. McKinnon leads the two-year course on Anglican Studies in Marlborough, MA and has agreed to give us a condensed version of his course!
A description of what he plans to cover is as follows: The orthodox Anglican movement in North America is grounded in the “Anglican Way”. We will be exploring the primacy of Holy Scripture in Anglicanism; the evangelical character and catholic nature of Anglicanism; the Anglican Formularies (i.e. the 39 Articles, the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, the 1662 Ordinal and the Lambeth Quadrilateral); as well as exploring the Classical Anglican approach to theology (1 Canon, 2 Testaments, 3 Creeds, 4 Councils and 5 Centuries).
This program is free and open to all who are interested. A hot lunch will be provided. Arrive early for coffee and a bagel.
To make a reservation or if you have further questions, you may call the home office of Timothy Home Fellowship at 802-985-4940. You may also check out the Vermont Anglicans website (see below).
The faithful remnant in Vermont is looking forward to being with you, and sharing this educational event with you and yours.
In Christ’s love,
Ann and Bill Hogan
