Augustine is a nod to our street. Of course, most of you will know that the blog name is a reference to the Confessions by Augustine of Hippo, one of the first autobiographies written in the West and thus one of the most influential works of literature from its time. I feel like Augustine might have a blog of his own today. Either that, or he would be appalled by the utter shallowness which most of us write on the internet and retreat into the desert. Anyway, this is supposed to be a homage, and a pale one, to Augustine and his honest, autobiographical musings on life and faith.
