A family gathering took four generations of our family to stay in Paris at the Hotel Esmeralda across the river from the Notre Dame.  

 

It is a very nice spot, from the quiet park in from of the hotel, to the gorgons at the top of the bell tower and including the skate ramp demonstrations that happen on the bridge between the cathedral and the hotel.  Here is a little slide show of the area.
