When using blow dart guns it is important to have a target to keep the boys occupied, in this case the target was innocent little “gross”hoppers. Sure this did keep them a way from our campsite but it was kinda disturbing when Mason kept coming back with one shish-ka-bobed on the end of his dart with the wings still flapping to try and escape. It is also good skills to have more than one “gross”hopper on your dart at the same time. This was definitely something to keep the boys busy while we weren’t out on the water or on the beach.

From butterfly nets to snakes and blowdart guns

While camping this weekend we had to laugh because at the same time the campers next to us with two small boys were running around with butterfly nets, our boys were running around with blow dart guns trying to shish-ka-bob their next grasshopper. And then surprised us by trapping a snake in a bucket. We decided the other campers needed to turn the butterfly nets in for some baseball bats or knives or guns of some sort!
