When will my order ship?

We do our best to ship all orders as quickly as possible. In-stock orders generally ship within two business days and our average delivery time is 4 to 6 days depending on the shipping destination. However, customized items, items sent directly from our suppliers and oversize items may take additional time for delivery. We have specified average delivery time for these items on their web pages.

What is your standard method of shipping?

Most of our in-stock items ship via Priority Post (2-3 day delivery within continental USA). Oversized items and items shipped by our suppliers generally ship UPS or FedX. Please be sure to give us your postal (billing) address and your street (shipping) address.

Can I get expedited delivery?

In-stock items can usually be shipped for one or two day delivery. Charges depend on your selection of service carrier (UPS Air or USPS Express) and on the size/weight of the item ordered. Once you have placed an item in your shopping cart you can Determine Shipping and Sales Tax by clicking on the delivery truck icon. Items listed as shipping from the artist or the manufacturer are not usually available for expedited delivery.

Do you ship overseas?

Most of our items can be shipped to most overseas destinations, but additional shipping charges may be incurred. Once you have placed an item in your shopping cart you can Determine Shipping and Sales Tax for any destination by clicking on the delivery truck icon and filling in your address information.

Can I place my order through the mail and pay by check or money order?

Yes. We accept personal checks and money orders drawn on USA banks. You may use the shopping cart to browse through our collection and at check-out you are given the option of printing your order to either fax or mail. The shopping cart will have totaled the order and included appropriate shipping charges and if shipping to a Connecticut address, CT sales tax. Make your check out to: bigtalldog.com.

May I place an order by phone?

We will be happy to take your order by phone ~ just make note of the items numbers for the products you would like and call 800-611-3647. Our business hours are 8AM to 8PM EST.

What is your exchange/return policy?

Our goal is to satisfy you, our customer. If you are not pleased with your purchase simply return it to us within thirty days for a prompt, hassle free settlement. Merchandise returned in new, unused condition will receive a full refund minus shipping charges. If you would like an exchange rather than a credit simply include a note with your returning merchandise. We cannot accept returns or exchanges on custom orders.

What is your privacy policy?

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. It is strictly confidential. Your email address and phone number allow us to reach you should we have a question or problem with your order. Your email address is additionally used for automated notifications on your order being received and shipped.

Do you sell wholesale?

Many of our VALar Stylings are available ~ call for more information.

Can you mail me a paper catalog?

Although our business originated in 1987 as a mail order catalog we no longer produce a paper catalog.

Will you donate to our raffle, auction, rescue fund?

We are happy to make a donation to non-profit clubs or organizations that are caring for large/giant breeds of dogs. Mail your request on club/organization letterhead. We do not accept email requests or open email attachments. Include event date, address for donation, contact email or phone number. The person requesting the donation is not eligible to redeem gift certificates.

Why don't you have anything for my little, short dog?

We are a speciality business and our expertise is with the large and giant dog breeds. In our Dog Product collection we stock only the sizes that would be relevant for our breeds. Within our Gift Collection many of our artists offer all AKC breeds and the fact that we can special order other breeds is noted in the item description.
