About Our Company

bigtalldog.com began as Pyraphernalia, Exclusively Great Pyrenees back in 1987 when, as breeders of Great Pyrenees, we found that many of the items we recommended to properly care for our puppies were not readily available. The catalog was meant to educate new owners and provide easy access to quality dog care. Over the years we discovered that other large and giant dog owners also had trouble finding supplies and equipment suited to their needs - thus Pyraphernalia-Big Dog Basics, The Big & Tall K9 Catalog was born.

In 1996 we launched our first web site. The web site has become so popular, and proved so much more efficient in displaying the full range of our products, that we have discontinued publishing a paper catalog.

We hope that you find just what you need for your gentle giant. BUT if we don't meet your large or giant dog needs we'd like to know! Our product line is always developing and some of our best new product ideas come from our customers and their wonderful gentle giants!
