Three very lovely and talented friends called me up almost two years ago, and asked me if I would do a simple recording of them. The purpose of the recording was for their own song evaluation and learning purposes.

It was late October, and I had yet to hook the natural gas back up to heat the house for the winter. I set up some SM58s in a battlefield set up, and ran the only guitar straight in. I hit record and they ran with it.

I like this song, as it reminds me of me.

Since then, the band has broken up. It consisted of a fantastic singer song writer, Susan Wheatley (go to her website and buy her album!), the beautifully talented Emily Triggs, and sorry guys but she’s spoken for, Marti Smith. Emily and Marti are doing a similar project with two other gals, but that’s a whole other post (about bad band names).

I can’t believe that I don’t have any pictures of the session! Three wonderful and georgeous women at my place and I did not get a single picture! Oh well. The big picture above is from the porch of my “studio”, and the little one from one of my favorite mountain tops. All around the same time frame.
