Sorry, No 2010 Calendar This Year

Many of you probably know that I put together a photo calendar each year. I’ve actually put together a calendar for six straight years. And this year I decided I’d try an new printing company, Lulu. Things haven’t worked out too well.

Although I love the look of the calendars, I’ve had a couple of huge issues with Lulu this year. The first issue is the fact that it took five weeks and several e-mails to get my calendars delivered even though delivery was promised between 5 to 7 days and it was ordered on December 5th. The second issue was partially my fault and it’s the reason that nobody is getting a calendar this year. I didn’t realize that the calendar that I had created on December 1st, 2009 was a 2009 calendar. I don’t know why Lulu would allow somebody to create a 2010 calendar in December, but they do and I didn’t catch this mistake. This means I ended up with seventeen 2009 calendars that arrived on January 10th, 2010. So, I’m out a lot of money and Lulu won’t take back the calendars.

Just in case anybody is interested, below are many of the photos that were found within the calendar.

Unfortunately, I don’t have enough money to create more calendars for everybody, but I’m putting the calendar up on Lulu just in case anybody is interested in purchases one.

Staying Warm

So, everybody always asks me how well our dog gets along with our cats? They always get along great. However with the cold weather hitting as far south as South Florida, Bevo and Buddy have found out that if they snuggle up, then they’re both much warmer. But now they’re taking it one step further and they’ve started holding hands paws.

Our South Dakota Trip Planning

So, Donna and I have started our planning for our summer trip to South Dakota and Wyoming this year. We’re going to hike around, camp at, and see tons of the national & state parks and national monuments in this part of the country over 12 days. Been Playing With Photoshop

I’m starting to play around with Photoshop more than I have in the past. I’ve had the stupid program since July, but have only utilized it a tiny bit. I’m going to use 2010 to really learn the intricacies of Photoshop and start utilizing it more with my photography.

I started working on my annual photo calendar tonight. I’m using Lulu, instead of the company I’ve used for the past two years (Mpix.com). I hope the initial copies I’ve ordered turn out nice or I’ll be running back to Mpix.com at the last minute.
