We have welcomed our new teachers for 2010! Read more about the dance teachers, Kru Nong, Kru Pu, Kru Nook, and music instructor, Kru Top on our Visiting Instructors page.

We are currently rehearsing for our third appearance in San Francisco’s Chinese New Year Parade on February 27th. Come and watch the largest celebration of Asian culture outside of Asia in downtown San Francisco or watch us live on TV!

Scholarship Opportunity

For any Thai or Southeast Asian high school seniors or college students, you may be eligible to apply for the Thai-American Scholarship Fund. The fund was established by alumni of the TCC and hopes to alleviate the costs of education for Thai and/or Southeast Asian students in Northern California.

Deadline to apply is March 31, 2010.

For more information, please visit the Asian Pacific Fund website for eligibility for a number of Asian American scholarships.

The Chinese New Year Parade was a success! Our royal-themed procession featured over 20 walkers, 10 dancers as well as our classical music ensemble. Thank you to our processioners, volunteers and instructors for organizing our unit! The weather was beautiful, and the audience turnout was larger than TCC has ever experienced in its three years of participating in the parade.

Check out more pictures on our Gallery page.

Happy Year of the Tiger!!!

Happy 2553!!!

This year’s Songkran Celebration on Sunday April 11th was our stormiest  to date! Our performers gave a great performance despite soaked costumes and shivering temperatures. We hope the monsoon downpour brought back pleasant memories of Thai weather!

The Thai Cultural Center would like to wish you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! Sawasdee Pii Mai!

We were proud to showcase Thai heritage at the San Mateo County Historical Museum’s Immigrants Day Festival in Redwood City.

On May 30, our dancers competed in the annual Thai Association Soccer Tournament between Northern California and Southern California. Congratulations to LA for their win, and we will see you again next year!
