HR-ISA

Welcome to the website of the new Human Rights section of the International Studies Association (HR-ISA). This section was created in March 2006 to provide a place for human rights scholars and teachers and others involved in the field to gather and interact. If you are currently a member of ISA, please consider officially joining the section. If you are not a member of ISA, you can find out more about the ISA here.

We have created an online discussion network called H-Human-Rights. With more than 900 subscribers, it is open to both section members and non-members. Please click here for more details.

NEW! Human Rights Section panels for the 2011 ISA Annual Meeting can be found here.

Congratulations to Courtney Hillebrecht for winning the section’s 2010 best graduate student paper award.

The report from the 2011 section business meeting can be found here.

The section has created an Academic Freedom Committee.
