Saxophonist Ray Dretske has coached the sax section of the Winona State jazz ensemble and has taught jazz combo. He has also coached the sax section for the Minnesota State High School Honors Jazz. Ray has toured the U.S. extensively with his own show and was a Roster Artist with the Minnesota State Arts Board for many years, performing and teaching music technology & music composition in schools and universities across the US. Ray has also been a keynote at state, regional and national Educational Conferences.
He has composed and produced music for TV, radio, CD-ROM, theater, films, & commercials. Performing and recording credits include Steve Allen, Ronnie Milsap, Frankie Valle & the Four Seasons, Norm Crosby, John Davidson, Sandler & Young, Dallas Jazz Orchestra, Pete Petersen & the Collection, Colleen Pandis & Decade, Danny Gans, Irving Texas Symphony, and others.
Ray is also President and CEO of an Internet software company called rSchoolToday.com that makes Web applications for schools. He has a Bachelor's Degree in music from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas.
