Mike James

Mike James teaches jazz guitar at WSU, and also helps out with jazz improvisation courses. A solid player on bass as well as guitar, Mr. James performs in a variety of musical settings through the region. He has studied with Pete Pancrazi in Phoenix, Arizona and David Baker at the Jamey Abersold Summer Jazz Workshops. He splits his teaching time between Winona State University and Leithold's Music in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Mr. James is also a music technology specialist, having recorded several digital music projects at his home studio.
