Akron Meditation Group

*Weekend Program Jan 22-24

We are students of the Kagyu, Nyingma, and Shambhala lineages who gather to practice meditation as well as studying and contemplating buddhist teachings.

Meditation instruction is always available free of charge for beginners or those wishing to deepen their connection to meditation practice.

We typically practice both sitting and walking meditation for about an hour followed by tea time and a group study session or dharma talk.  We approach the teachings seriously, personally, and with a sense of humor.

Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend.  It is fine to come only for the meditation and tea time.

We welcome members of all religious traditions.  Many find meditation practice to be a complement to their spiritual life in other religious traditions.
