I have been playing with Plurk for a few days, and it is pretty cool. Kind of a folksy Twitter I guess...Got some folks as friends and some as fans.
Got my cool widget thing going over there to the right:
Got my karma rising..it is all good in Plurk land.
I know that some people use PLURK as part of a professional learning network, just as others use Twitter or other social networking site. Great idea! Make contacts all over the country and world. PLC without borders.
One thing I noticed while trolling for friends was that a lot of people that signed up for Plurk don’t do it anymore.
Lots of people that start blogs don’t keep them up.
Lots of people that start Twitter don’t keep it it.
iTunes is littered with three episode podcasts...
So I wonder what it is that can keep people coming back for more?
An effective Professional Learning Community that is not simply in A school, which uses such things as PLURK or Twitter has to be able to be sustainable...
What keep it sustainable?
What keeps people coming back for more? Why do I make 200 blog entries and others can’t get past 2?
What keeps things from fading to black?

What are some strategies to keep the excitement going?
