Missed the memo

Apparently California missed the memo that it is November, and that means it should be fall-like weather, right? A high of 92 today! Insane! Honestly I am getting kinda sick of the heat. I am ready for light jackets and jeans. Ready for shoes and socks. I have been craving hot spiced apple cider in my big red mugs, but it just doesn’t work when the air conditioning is running. I can’t wait to go to Portland too cool off for a week. I will be sure to make home made wassel and curl up with a blanket by the fire.
So, this weekend I will be doing my annual shopping trip for a few warm items for my kids- you know- pants and long sleeve shirts, maybe a jacket too!

Yes, you are seeing things right, my whole blog is gone! Boston’s picture above sums up how I feel about it!! My blog got a few corrupt files, and it was easier to just re-do it rather than to sit at the Mac store with the whole staff trying to figure out how to fix it. I think I sat on the phone with Apple Care for about 3 hours, and hung out at the Genius bar at the Apple store for 4+ hours (in multiple visits, most with a 2 year-old in tow!)

So I may be MIA for a while. I want to get all the old entries back on the blog in the right order- it could take some time! We have been busy getting ready for the holidays. We will be spending Thanksgiving in Portland with Mike’s family (haven’t seen them since last December!!) and Christmas will be here at home for the first time in our almost 10 year marriage! We might sneak away to Utah for a short visit, but we are still talking about it. I finally made the plunge and got a DSLR camera, so I have had my nose in books about ISO, aperture, f-stop, and trying to scratch the surface in Photoshop-

So the pages in my archive will slowly re-appear, I am not sure how to recover the comments yet, but I am working on it!

Well I am glad that Halloween is over! I think the kids are totally satisfied with their trick-or-treating loot. If I had to guess, I would say that all the candy that came home tonight weighs 10 lbs.!!! I am totally not joking! Zoey cam along with us tonight dressed up as Whitnie’s little devil dog. Bid ‘ol October festivities post

We have been busy doing so many different October activities, I decided to put all the pictures in 1 giant post. Tomorrow will be the 3rd and final time the kids will get dressed up in their costumes- they can’t wait to go door to door trick-or-treating! Tomorrow also is our 1 year anniversary of living in Orange County. Last year the kids were separating their candy on top of random boxes after trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood!

Pumpkin Patch time! I love looking at these pictures and seeing all of us in shorts and thongs haha, only in So Cal!
