Blogging is a wonderful way to archive the simple moments of our lives and share with family and friends that we don't get to see often enough.

Our family blog allows us to reflect on what's going on in our little part of the world and helps us to focus on the fun and positive things that touch our lives each and every day.

We hope in creating these entries we're able to brighten your day as well as preserve some of the laughs and frustrations that make life the wonderful ride that it is.

Best wishes,
The Sunsdahls

P.S.
Super Bad Bowl

So I read today that 109 million people watched the SuperBowl this year. That’s unfortunately a record and means 109 million people watched our Colts lose. We’re ok though. Michael is off of suicide watch and seems to be bouncing back. I’m sure all will be forgotten when the bill for next year’s season tickets arrives in our mailbox any day now. You’d think maybe since they lost we’d see a credit on our bill but somehow I’m doubting it.

The ones I feel really sorry for are the people that paid tons of money to be in Miami in hopes of seeing them win. I know it’s sports and the fact that someone has to lose is what makes it great but having been on both sides of this SuperBowl thing, I’m here to tell you. Winning is waaaaaaay more fun.

We actually really enjoyed watching the first half at our friends Brady and Elizabeth house. They just built a new house so we got to see that and the kids enjoyed running around non stop jacked up on beenie-weenies, chicken wings, Oreo’s and football shaped pb and j’s among other things. Elizabeth is due with a baby boy so got to hear their names which include Christian, Camden and one other “C” name I can’t quite remember. We drove by our old house and got to get caught up with numerous families from the church we went to when we lived in Plainfield. We stayed until halftime, ran home, put the kids to bed and watched the second half on the DVR. You know the rest.

Here’s a few pictures. Only 364 more days until next year’s Super Bowl. Better start training boys!

We ended up keeping ours but decided to let Caden use theirs. He’s actually got a pretty good eye. Here are some of his pictures. You may recognize some of them as being his own body parts just in case you weren’t quite sure. I also had to laugh at the ones of Nolan as even I have a very hard time getting him to stand still!

So apparently I haven’t been keeping up with the blog quite enough for my Mom and she put in a request for more pictures of her grandsons. Of course, my point would be, if you aren’t jet setting around to warm locales for weeks at a time you could see them live and in person! But, never one to turn down a request to share pictures of our boys, here you go...

I wasn’t even really sure what I had pictures of on my camera. But apparently there are some pictures of our mini vacation in Ft. Wayne where we went to the downtown library, I was able to score two swimsuits I really like at Barbara’s (there’s one in Zionsville too but it’s really tiny and only had like 2 swimsuits), and got to see Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Bill. There’s also a few pictures from the Children’s Museum when we went with Aunt Diana and Tyler a few weeks ago and then a batch of pictures from today’s snow.

p.s. There you go, Mom. Your wish has been granted. And by the way the boys loved their Valentine’s.

I personally don’t really care for the snow that much but having kids makes it a little more fun. It’s not really the snow I don’t like. It’s more the grey and cold days that go with the snow. Anyway...Saturday we bundled everybody up and went outside. Nolan did great and of course Caden loved it. Michael pulled them around on sleds for a bit and they very much enjoyed watching Michael break icicles off the roof and sliding down the slide into a pile of snow. We checked out some animal tracks and then it was time to thaw out inside. Until next Winter storm...

Since we didn’t make it up to Chicago to see family for Christmas we planned to do it New Year’s weekend. I actually really liked this since it didn’t require racing through Christmas and trying to jam so much into a short amount of time. By visiting over New Year’s weekend we got to see everybody (well not Aunt Cheryl and Uncle BIll since Aunt Cheryl wasn’t feeling very well) and do some shopping and swimming. Even though it was about -20 it was still tons of fun.

The boys very much enjoyed swimming in the pool with Tyler. We had the pool to ourselves almost every time we went! They were troopers going to Chicago Premium Outlets and Orland Square. Caden scored some Creature Feature shoes that he’ll be very happy to tell you about. I, sadly, was the one most enamored with the free chocolate chip cookies they had downstairs in the lobby. I made more than one run in my PJ’s! All the Sunsdahl boys enjoyed the free breakfast. Don’t tell Grandma Pam but Caden thought the waffle he made himself might even be better than hers!

We had dinner with everyone at Traverso’s Friday night and then met Suzanne and Wayne for Nick and Vito’s on Saturday. I happily enjoyed numerous pieces of leftovers on the way home. Since we left it in the car it was practically frozen. We also had beef sandwiches from Al’s. And if it sounds like the weekend was all about eating I think it is because it was!

Caden and Nolan very much enjoyed the Christmas surprises from Lyndsay and Konrad. When we got home I couldn’t really tell which Sunsdahl boy liked the remote control car better. All I heard was shouts of “That is awesome!”

Glad we could spend time with all the Malmloff/Pawula’s and we’ll come back soon. Although I think we might wait until it’s above freezing.
