The Pediatric dr. didn’t say much different from our family dr. and said the dermatologist was the correct next step.  She also said that it is something that shouldn’t be there(of course) and that we should really get it taken care of, but again probably isn’t malignant--good news.  So today we went to the derm.  She diagnosed it as a Pilar Cyst.  It seems to fit, but wanted to see Karis in a YEAR!  I wasn’t comfortable with that since it has grown so big in just 3 weeks, so our family dr. is referring us to a pediatric dermatologist in the cities. That is really all we know so far.  It probably isn’t anything serious, but we just want to get it taken care of.
