In the 2006 Church Census churches were invited to include a mission statement and/or slogan.  The main words in these statements were collated and fed into a computer program which created a 'map' of the words, the subsequent size of which reflected the number of times the word appears.  We then asked our creative friends at Adstract Art to shape this into an abstract tree to depict the interconnectedness and interdependence that is part of our movement's deeper story.  It is interesting to note that the most commonly appearing words maintained this emphasis, as well as the centrality of the Christian narrative that binds us together.

The earthly colours emerge from and complement the tones chosen for the Churches of Christ logo, all affirming the sense of life and growth that Conference and its Partner Departments are committed to cultivating.
