Plain Meanness emerged a year ago from the fertile Arkansas Delta with the culmination of members from three reputable local music acts The Last Farewell, Gardenia Sweat, The Sea Monsters & The Arkansas State Marching Band. The combination of Patrick Dailey (vocals and guitar), Derek Doyle (upright bass), Greg Arnold (drums) and Rob Alley (trumpet) results in an eclectic mix of old-time western, rockabilly, surf rock, and punk, but according to the band, they play just Rock 'N' Roll. The members of the band have been known to play on the same card with such acts as Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, Scott H. Biram, the Gourds...and Black Oak Arkansas. The band's first full length album is OUT.
