We’ll be leaving for home in a day or two so this will probably be my last blog for this trip. The snow has been the icing on the cake for our stay here this summer. And this morning, we were visited by a couple of bucks wandering through the yard who then decided to camp out for an extended stay. The larger one is in the process of losing his velvet. Bucks have been a rare sighting this summer. There were a few young ones early on, but these are the first to visit since then. We’re happy they made it in time to say goodbye.
I ran outside to take the picture on the right because the sky was such a brilliant blue against the clouds. I was glad the camera did a pretty good job of capturing the colors.
This has been a truly amazing summer and we feel so fortunate that we’ve been able to do it. We’re glad Mom & Dad got the chance to visit while we were here and we’re hoping we’ll have more family come and share in our experiences. Love to all of you that have been reading the blog and allowing us to vent our excitement. After all, what’s a great thing if you can’t share it! We’re looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
