I am a technology Integration Coordinator, Educational Technology Enthusiast, and an advocate for opening the web in a safe & responsible manner in educational institutes.   I also feel cell phones should be utilized as educational tools in the classroom - let’s plan for them, not ban them.   My mission is to create a symphony of discovery, a bouquet of collaboration and a passion for learning.  My goal is to bridge the gap between the digital natives and digital immigrants.

K-12 Online Safety/Cyber Bullying:

The purpose of this half day training is to have schools come out with a plan of attack for addressing bullying in their schools. From the bullying survey to curriculum connects and a bullying hot-zone analysis, it is my hope that teachers will be learning and talking and thinking about the issues. I also hope that school administrators and counselors will use the opportunity to help them craft a proactive plan that can be deployed in their schools. Every day that bullying happens, kids are being hurt and their opportunity to learn is in jeopardy. In Kansas, the new law means schools might be held legally liable. It's time to get the issue of bullying under control.
