When I used to listen to 1980s Dutch radioshows like Ferry Maat’s ‘Soul Show’ and the yearly Grandmixes of mastermixer Ben Liebrand, I got influenced with music genres like disco, rap and house. That in combination with my interest in mixing on turntables, I began to spin records back in the early 1990s and started making mixes on cassettetapes and later on with the introduction of mp3, I also edit studio mixes.
