Back in 1979 the Stichting Nederlandse Top 40, started publishing the legendary Disco Dance Magazine, a magazine for deejays, management services and people who were interested in music in general. From 1986 till 1987 I was a monthly member of DDM.

The contents included charts from Holland, Germany, USA, UK and Italy, a monthly column (Jeroen van Inkel/Robin Albers), reviews on new releases, interviews, tips & tricks on mixing, news on products and lots of more... It wasn’t only (Italo) disco music that was displayed and of course rap and house music were introduced in DDM. A lot of dj’s were doing their thing at home, cutting and taping mixes together, listening to ‘De Bond van Doorstarters’ at THE most popular radioshow of that time: Ferry Maat’s SOULSHOW, the Mini - Grandmixes / In the Mix at radio VERONICA produced by Ben Liebrand and Avro’s ‘Driemaal Doordraai’ / And The Beat Goes On both hosted by Robin Albers. Those times brings me back to memorylane...
