"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners...."  Is 61:1 

This is an oft quoted passage spoken by the prophet Isaiah many years ago and fulfilled in Christ years later. (Luke 4:17-21)  I believe as Jesus ascended into heaven , ten days before Pentecost, he commissioned the church to be his witnesses in the spirit of Isaiah. This is our prayer at Arbutus Christian Fellowship that we might preach the good news to the hearts of those in captivity, and to those brokenhearted, blind, and in darkness.  That they might be set free in Christ.  God bless you.  Enjoy the site.
