Before the regular season started the Moore Mustang volleyball team established their role out on the court with a trophy for the bronze division. They advanced to the bronze division by losing to Eastern, and PRP. Also a win against Waggener to seal the deal. The Mustangs advanced to the semifinals to face off against Southern, who did not stand in their way. The Mustangs then stampeded over Atherton to clinch the trophy to start off the season the right way.
Moore continued their season knocking everyone out of their way. From teams that seemed easy like Waggener who were easily beaten, to team that were a revenge match. Concerning an early loss to PRP the Mustangs came out of the locker room with only one thing on their mind; to win. It was a much needed confidence booster and that is exactly what it was. The Mustangs ran over PRP to prove that they were the better team and the message sure got across.
After the win the team the team was enrolled into a tournament hosted by Central High School where they advanced to the gold. Rolling over Cavalry Christian, North Hardin, and North Bullitt gave Moore the boost that they needed to be the team fighting for the gold against Beth Haven. The mustangs stumbled on the first game losing 19-25, but bounced back winning the second and third game 25-23, 25-22, giving the Mustangs another victory.
They would continue their journey until they reached another nail biting game. The Eastern vs. Moore game (at Eastern) would take the Mustangs from an undefeated record to 8-1. The Mustangs would need to rebound to do good at the Seneca Invitational. They would advance against Valley, Southern, Bullitt East, and Paducah Tilghman to face off against Seneca, who was out for revenge from a loss last season. The Mustangs showed no fear as they beat the Red Hawks 25-20, 25-21. Oldham County would advance to the finals showing they were the better team beating the Mustangs 21-25, 25-23, 12-25. The Mustangs would win runner-up in the gold division.
For the seniors, it has been the best season so far, with a record of 20-4, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. This week, they will hope to improve their record with a win over Jeffersontown on Tuesday (at J-Town) and a win over Beth Haven on Thursday (at Moore).

Join the Lady Mustangs as they hope to improve and make you proud!
