Moore 48, Elizabethtown 44

Running back Brandon Gordon scored six touchdowns, including the game-winner with 30 seconds left, to hand the Mustangs a Class 3-A, District Three victory over the visiting Panthers (4-3, 1-1).
After Elizabethtown quarterback J.D. Tanner hit Cody Withers with a six-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, Moore (3-4, 1-1) used the final six minutes for the scoring drive capped by Gordon’s two-yard touchdown run.
Gordon rushed 35 times for 319 yards and five touchdowns and added an 87-yard touchdown catch.
“He’s had a tremendous last three weeks,” Moore coach Bob Johnson said of Gordon, who has scored 16 touchdowns the past three games. “This was a huge game for our school and for our program.”
Tanner completed 23 of 45 passes for 332 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.

Moore Athletic Director Steve Silvano “Flips

this Locker Room” For the Football Team

“Remove The Doubt.” The slogan that motivates the football team also hangs on the wall in the newly renovated locker room. Athletic director, Steve Silvano, has put much effort into changing the image of the Moore Athletic Department.

You do not have to look very far to notice that things are changing around Moore Traditional School. From the new scoreboards to the revamped wrestling room, changes are apparent. The latest upgrade is the football locker room.

On Thursday, September 30th, the football team unveiled the new locker room to players, parents, and the public. In addition to the open house, the Mustangs also had their traditional “Senior Bake Day.”  Seniors make food and then they auction the food to benefit the football program.

The new upgrades include wall to wall carpet, new lockers, state of the art multimedia devices, custom whiteboards, and three dimensional logos to decorate the walls. Click here to see more pictures of the locker room and the senior bake.
