CROSSBONES is made up of some of Ireland’s brightest young talents on the Irish music scene. Boasting the unique line up of tenor trombone & bass trombone, CROSSBONES offer a fresh
perspective on jazz music.
They launched their debut album in February 2010. All of the compositions on the album were
composed by the members of the group, as well as two pieces composed especially for the group
by top Irish composer Brian Byrne & Bruno Heinen, a leading jazz musician on the UK scene.
CROSSBONES members are Eoghan Kelly (tenor trombone), Paul Frost (bass trombone), Phill
Collins (piano/rhodes), Deirdre Frost (bass) and Stephen Kelly (drums). All the members of the
group have performed with numerous Irish and international jazz musicians such as Phil Woods,
Benny Golson, Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Louis Stewart, Tommy Haferty & Michael Buckley, as
well as performing with the RTE Symphony & Concert Orchestra & session work with artists
including Sharon Shannon, Declan O Rourke & Ute Lemper and many, many more.
