Last year, a whole lovely bunch of readers asked for signed copies of Cold Tangerines for Christmas gifts. I was thrilled, of course, and more than happy to make that happen. It was, however, a little make-shift and more than a little harried: people picking up little shopping bags of books from my snowy porch, a veritable post office on my dining room table, countless trips to the actual post office with a cranky two-year-old in tow.
I’m happy to report that the lovely folks at Zondervan, my publishing house, are helping us all out this year. And they’re making it happen much more smoothly, and at a super-great price, starting tomorrow. Thanks, Z!
This is the deal:
A limited number of signed copies of Cold Tangerines will be available at special discount while supplies last.
20% off 1-2 copies
30% off 3-35 copies
40% off Full cases (36 copies)
Here's how to order your signed copies of Cold Tangerines:
Go to this site, enter the number of signed copies you wish to purchase, and click the “Add to Cart” button. When the shopping cart comes up, enter 980647 in the “Source/Discount Code” box and click “Apply Changes.” Then proceed to enter your email/address info and check out using a credit card.
You can order starting Saturday, November 21, and orders will ship starting on December 4, 2009.(By the way, the site does say something about Jan 2010--don’t worry about that! It’s all set to go at midnight tonight.)
So there you go! Cool, huh? I’ve heard from readers that CT makes a great teacher gift, hostess gift or baby-sitter gift, and that having a book signed makes it feel a little more special. A friend who’s a stylist gave them to her best clients last Christmas, and a friend who got married gave them to her bridesmaids. All sorts of possibilities. And if you want a whole stack, but not quite a case, you could get a case with a few friends, so that you get the 40% off--that’s a great price.
Oh! One more thing: I’ll be in Grand Rapids on Monday, November 30 for a signing at the Woodland Barnes and Noble from 5:30-7:30. I’d super-love to see you there.
Merry Christmas, much in advance. May blessings and goodness abound in your corner of the world today.
