Elemental Pools randomly spawn throughout the Bay of Storms in Azshara and can be source of quick cash. Elemental pools (as their name states) are pools from which you can fish Elemental Water, Globes of Water, and Essence of Water. If you are able to locate a couple of these on one of your fishing runs some quick cash (or mats) can be yours.

Elemental water pools supposedly spawn in 11 locations throughout Azshara. However only 6 of those locations have been confirmed by direct observation by the people I have talked to. Thalenia of Uther has been a great resource in finding/confirming these various locations.

Since Elemental pools are located within (see notes below) the Bay of storms a minimum fishing skill of 330 is required, 400+ recommended for fishing without trouble. As seen here Elemental spawns are extremely visible, since they glow bright blue. If you have the visual options turned off for seeing through water the pools will show bright blue on the surface. Simply cast into one of these pools and one to three of the various elemental water items will be yours!

Thalenia gave permission to use this graphic he made. It’s extremely useful in locating the various elemental spawns throughout Azshara/Bay of Storms area.

Thalenia (and I) have verified the locations shown here (the little blue splashed), and they are in fact in the game. There are “suspected” locations based on data from Thottbot and other sources, but have not been confirmed to actually exist. If you have seen the spawns not shown here please screenshot them (with landmarks in the screen please) and send them Here.

Thalenia notes that the farthest North West location is not actually within the Bay of Storms and as a result can be successfully fished at lower skill levels than the rest of the confirmed locations, all of which are within the Bay of Storms.

It is important to note that throughout the Bay of Storms you can find the “Sons of Arkkorak” level 55-56 Elite Giants, which will harass you if you get close enough to them. I had difficulty with location 59,40 as a Giant patrols right up to the pool itself, so time your casts in between patrols or simply kill them (not a problem for me, but then again I am a Tier 2 Warrior).
