JAB  “The Way I see it”

I have always had a need to express myself (ok, haven't we all), but I have always found that my best resource for that expression is through my writing.  Therefore and herewith my "blog," which I have decided to entitle, JAB, "The Way I See It."

You may agree, or disagree with what I will have to say in these journals.  You may be amused, annoyed, flattered, angered, resigned to tedium over what I write here.  That's fine; it's all good. This site, this "blog" (though for some reason I dislike that word) will be my own observations on everything:  politics, life in general, friends, family, my husband, our gay world (good and bad).  Acerbic, blunt, tongue-in-cheek, sometimes raging, these writings will reflect who I am and how I view a particular issue.

My background:  Raised Italian-American Catholic Dysfunctional, there's drama built into my DNA.  I WILL occasionally look at my glass as half-empty.  I yam what I yam.  Your feedback is invited.  I never want to stop learning.

If I appear petulant or as if I'm splitting hairs let me know.  I'm here to stir up trouble.  I like a good fight.  There's an old saying:  "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."  Come join me in the kitchen.  Maybe together we can get those certain forces to listen to us, or try to shut us up.  Maybe we'll make a difference and maybe we won't.  But we'll get something off our chests.  I won't leave this banquet table called "life" until I get my fill.  Even then I will leave kicking and screaming.

And that's the way I see it.  - JAB

welcome to the world as seen through my eyes

Gabbing and JabBing

Elizabeth Taylor (circa 1958), otherwise known as "Our Lady Of Gay Men," St. Elizabeth.

She is here because the lady has always represented a beacon of hope, beauty, honesty and responsibility to me. She is and always has been a "broad," one of the highest compliments I could ever pay to a woman. She has helped us gay men in ways immeasurable beyond belief. She has used

her celebrity to help "us" at times when no one has wanted anything to do with us. Her "Elizabeth

Taylor Foundation for AIDS Research" has raised millions. And gentlemen, she underwrites all costs

with regards to the Foundation out of her own pockets. When you send a donation to her Foundation 100% of those funds go to research. She takes care of the salaries, expenses, etc., with her own money.

She is a beautiful object of art inside and out.
