The WCU Clarinet Studio is led by Dr. Shannon Thompson and assisted by masters student Katie Ebert. Currently, fifteen music majors are in the studio. WCU clarinetists, both majors and non-majors, participate in ensembles such as wind ensemble, symphony band, marching band, clarinet ensembles and clarinet choir, woodwind quintet, jazz band, musical theatre productions, and community orchestra. Each year, students perform with members of the Asheville Symphony in a concert of orchestra masterworks.
