Because we believe service is central to the life of all of Jesus’ followers we have made it central to our fellowship as well. An average month for us will include about 3 Sunday “Gatherings” at American Kids Sports Center and 1 “Gone for Good” service project somewhere in the greater Bakersfield area.
Gone for Good (G4G) Sundays all look a little different. Each G4G is designed to tangibly express and demonstrate God’s love to people in Bakersfield and the surrounding area. Some Sundays we will all serve together, and some Sundays we may have several serving opportunities from which to choose. We will serve a broad range of needs and people groups.
Our desire is to provide opportunities for families to serve together, we will provide child care for kids up to age seven, but we intend to design the service events so kids seven and up can serve alongside their parents. What better way for our kids to learn the value of serving others than to serve with their families regularly.
Everyone is welcome to come and serve along side us. You don’t have to be a part of our fellowship, be a follower of Jesus or even believe there is a God to want to serve people, so we invite you to come and join us.
Our G4G Sundays don’t always fall on the same Sunday of the month so check the website for the when and where details each month.
