So a few thanks are in order:

I’d like to thank everybody who has come out to see us at a club, and all of those who purchased a CD, everybody who has played our CD on their radio show or their podcast or at their home for pleasure, everyone who took the time to listen to and review Kick the Dirt, all the bar owners and bookers who brought us in to play their clubs, all the bands that we’ve played with -- I’d also like to thank the guys who are making this happen with me - Evan Purcell, Doug Mackey, Peter Davidson and Charley Rowan. It takes a lot of time and effort (and beer) to make it all happen.

Charley is back from Mexico and that is good. We’ve missed him. He’ll be with us for the next few shows so come out and buy him a drink sometime.

Cine band night was very good. Full house of folks I don’t see out often or often enough anyway. December is very busy. In addition to the shows mentioned in the side bar we’re also playing at the High Dive on Saturday, December 12th! and at the Shanty on December 19th!

Long time no post! That doesn’t mean things have been slow. The band has been busy busy busy or maybe it just seems that way. Past triumphs (and debacles) since the last post listed in no particular order:

Tuesday night in Ballard

Played late last night at the Sunset with Chris Brecht and the Legendary Oaks. Band played well to a pretty sparse crowd by the time we got onstage. Felt bad for Chris who was heading out on tour. Tough bill sandwitched between two bands and a talkative crowd. Loved his songs though.

HIghlight of our set were many but my favorite was during You Better Start Coming Around - when Charlie’s amp started acting up and after swapping a few cables, the auto rhythm machine somehow got turned on and we were playing some very interesting bits. Doug and the bands interplay with the beatbox inside Charlie’s keyboard was groundbreaking and truly represented a new way forward. A path not chosen if you will.

The bar bought us a round of bourbon at the end of the night and I’m in a bit of a haze today. We have added a mayday show at Piecora’s back room on, umm... May 1st.
