the family just finished kai’s doctor visit and hungering for some sandwiches. and we popped in here. nice unique place with some really good food! pricey atas looking, but good! we ordered this breads with dips! you can buy the dips there, but they don’t come cheap! but it felt healthy and the breads were really yummy! pesto dip, lime and dill mayo, and hummus dip! lovely.

we also ordered nz mussels and the sauce had ailin and i dipping and soaking up all the sauce! ordered milk shake and affogato for desserts. yum yum! can’t wait to go back to try to wagyu beef burger and pastas. when i’m not feeling overly poor maybe. hehe. time to save up those cny ang paos!

it was my off day and ailin, yi kai and i decided to go for lunch out in serangoon gaderns. (we had some errands to run.) yi kai was really good yesterday, and so was the food! we’ve been here a few times, and have always enjoyed the food. even though the set lunch price has gone up, it’s still a very lovely lunch. best part was the complimentary starter! (They were having a product photo shoot hehe) Thanks ping!

this place rocks lah. along with the good indian rojak, nasi lemak, the new found love is mee soto! lovely! if eng mee makes u go, this we’ve found the mee soto version of this solid solid sure make u sweat dish! nothing a nice bandung can’t wash down!

coolest coffee shop

ailin and i have burger cravings. i grew up on macs hamburgers for supper...really. hm, maybe that’s what i’m joking that my son’s name is ‘hamburg’, but that’s for another post on another page. the interesting thing about this place is that it’s actually a coffeeshop, that happens to look like a restaurant. but there’s actually like a pub, western, thai and even indian food! there’s limited free parking nearby and it’s along bukit timah rd. nice place to hang it really. and we enjoyed our burger. along with a white beer that was on tap. :P lovely. oh, and coke is served nicely too.

don’t waste your food

we’ve often heard “Don’t waste food!” well as i’m reading through don’t waste your life, i came across this statement that piper made.

“we waste our lives when we do not weave god into our eating and drinking and every other part by enjoying and displaying him.”

and the verse that the statement comes out from is from 1 corinthians 10:31 “whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of god.”

Now that’s food for thought! how does one eat to the glory of god? :)
