My story
My story
I’ve been asking my peers lately “Is it better to be a generalist or a specialist nowadays?” It turns out, there is no specific answer to this question and the answers can swing widely depending on whom you ask and what industry they work in. I can tell you with confidence as I answer my own question that in the Television/Film and “Broadband Video” industries I work in, being good at many jobs has become a requirement for survival.
I have worn a lot of hats in the Television/Film Industries since 1983, when I won an Emmy Award as an 11 year old actor in St. Louis. Since then I have had numerous exciting experiences in front of and behind the camera, working with the famous, the infamous and many interesting characters in between. 22 years later I get to enjoy another Emmy nomination, this time as a Writer/Co-Producer!
As we find our way through this production and distribution revolution in my industry, I’m focusing my skills and experience to help corporations, broadcast networks, publishing companies and individuals navigate the confusing landscape of visual media production and distribution options there are today.
